First, second and third quilt.

 

This is my very first quilt, I am very happy with the way it came out. I think it was a good starter quilt.

This is my second quilt, I want to use it as a throw quilt. I am not sure of the size but I love the way it is coming together. I still need to quilt it together so it's in it's "sandwich" stage. 

This is my third quilt, it is a baby quilt and I am making it for a friend if she has a girl, my fourth quilt will be if it's a boy. I am still debating if I should put a border on this quilt, if I do it will be pink. I will post pictures of this quilt when it is completely done. This is going to be filled with tons of bright colors ! I am really proud of this quilt, it is a more difficult pattern and it is my favorite one so far. 

My next project.

So here it is almost 3 months after the wedding day and I have found a new project to occupy my time... quilting! I am working on my first quilt which is a baby blanket. I am loving the whole quilting thing. I am almost have the top piece done and pictures will be posted soon. My next quilt is going to be lap blanket, I am going to San Antonio this weekend and I can't wait to find new fabrics to start on my next project!

Getting closer!

well as time seems to be running out, I have decided not to do menu cards and instead of making a card box I was able to find one that has a beautiful decoration already on it. Almost all the details of our wedding are done, it's the last min stuff that is left. My mom has taken over assembling the brooch bouquet and she is putting on the last min touches. It looks beautiful and i need to remember to get pictures when I go home in 3 weeks. As it gets closer hopefully I can get pictures on here of my actual DIY projects.

only 3 months and 4 days left!

The brooch bouquet is coming along beautifully. I will hopefully have pictures posted soon. I was wanting to do menu cards for the table but I have decided not to... I think. My next project will be to make a card box. So many things to do and time is running out. Pictures will be posted soon for the brooch bouquet. I'm so excited I will be marrying the love of my life.

Additions to my brooch bouquet :)

This brooch is one that a very good friend from work gave me. She wore it to her school prom and when she heard I was doing a brooch bouquet she thought this would be a beautiful piece to add to my collection. 

I was able to pick this brooch out of my mom's jewelry box. She knows I love butterfly's and with all the color in this piece I know it will be gorgeous in my bouquet. 

This is my first attempt at glass etching. I was worried it wouldn't come out but I think it looks awesome. Hopefully our champagne glasses come out looking this good.

My first brooch, this one was given to me by a close friend from work. I cant wait to get enough brooches to start putting my bouquet together. :) 

3 day weekend. woo hoo!

Well, we have finally picked a wedding song. I am so excited about this because we have such different taste in music. I have a total of 2 brooches so far for my bouquet (pictures will be posted soon) but I need to start looking at shops for more. I get so inspired looking up pages and ideas for the wedding that sometimes I get overwhelmed. My project this week is to get addresses together and to get ready to send out the save the date. Hopefully I can get them put by next week. I can't believe we are getting married in 6 months!
